The Home School Legal Defense Association is a non-profit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms. CAPE Action monitors federal legislative proposals with the help of the National Center for Home Education. Communication with New Mexico legislators enables them to keep current with state issues. They maintain an e-mail network to “get the word out” quickly when lobbying is necessary. CAPE encourages home school families to be active, involved and praying citizens.
